If you made a resolution to eat more fruits or vegetables, this is the perfect recipe for you. Personally, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I refuse to wait until the start of a year to eat better or keep my house cleaner. If something needs to change, waiting only makes me want to wait longer. The sooner you commit to a change, the sooner you’ll see the benefits of those changes, right? This isn’t the first time I’ve put spinach into pancakes. I made green pancakes on St Patrick’s day last year, and I’m sorry I’ve kept them from you for so long. They’re even better with the berries! The berries add a great sweetness that covers the spinach flavor perfectly. If you use mixed berries like I did...
Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a fantastic night celebrating. On Monday, we shared the most popular recipes of 2013, but we also wanted to share our favorites, especially when they seem a little underappreciated. Kelly’s Favorite Five Can I just mention how hard it was to make a list? Scrolling through all of the recipes, I just wished I could eat them again. Here they are in no particular order. 1. Barbeque Veggie Enchiladas with Vegan Cheese Sauce 2. BBQ Sweetpotato Quesadilla 3. Greek Feta Salsa 4. Vegetarian Taco Pizza – Sneaky, by picking this one, I also technically pick my Easy 10 Minute TVP Tacos 5. Vegan Bean and Mushroom White Chili Josh’s Favorite Five Here’s my top items, again in no particular order. Me picking...
Hope everyone is making the most of the end of the year. I take the last 2 weeks of the year off from work, so now that the Christmas running around is done, I get to lounge around and relax. I wanted to wrap up the year with a list of my 10 most popular recipes of 2013. You’ll also get the full spectrum of how terrible our photos started out and the slow crawl they’ve done to reach FoodGawker acceptance. 10. Butterless Peanut Butter Scones with Chocolate Drizzle 9. Vegan Bakery-Style Zucchini Bread Muffins 8. Super Soft Banana Bread Cookies 7. Super Quick and Easy Whole Wheat Bread 6. Healthy Chocolate Raspberry Muffins 5. Bananas Foster Slow Cooker Oatmeal – I actually made this...
If you’re anything like me, every time you make chili, you just sort of wing it. Sometimes it comes out great and sometimes it’s just okay. I’m posting this recipe more for me than for anyone else, because this chili was perfect for me: full of veggies, just enough chili powder, and incredible leftovers. I remember when I was young, my parents would make two pots of chili. One of the meat eaters and one for the not meat eaters. LONG ago when I ate the meaty chili, I was sad that it never had carrots. My mom’s meat free chili would have them, but my dad hates carrots, so the meaty chili was carrot free. Are carrots normal in chili? Definitely not. But if there was an option for...
Didn’t expect the crazy cat lady to pass that up, did you? I normally send out holiday cards saying Meowy Christmas or something about Santa Paws/Santa Claws, but we totally dropped the ball this year. Took the pictures and never printed them. While Peter is crazy photogenic, we had to really work to get a photo of Chester. Because they’re looking so cute and it’s the season of giving, I decided to share them with you 🙂 Happy holiday season to everyone. I wish you the happiest of new years, filled with kittens and puppies and super delicious cookies. And vegetables. Can’t forget vegetables.
