Updated 12/8/15 – Garlic powder listed twice. Second instance should be onion powder.
When I posted my sweet mustard pretzels, I made the mistake of talking up my sister’s Ranch pretzels. The result was comments saying “ooh those sound good, what’s the recipe?” And then I lied to you all. Saying the recipe was coming soon. Month later? Yeah. Not soon, Kelly. Oopsies. But looky here, I’ve finally made it up to you.
See? Ranchy, pretzelly goodness. All is forgiven forever. Truth is, I was just lazy. I knew I wanted to make my own dry ranch and needed to go allll the way to the organic store to buy nutritional yeast. It’s a whopping mile away. Closer than the regular grocery store. But they close early, okay?
These take just a few seconds to mix up and will give you glorious garlic breath are super delicious. The flavors intensify the longer you let them sit in the bag, so they’re great for a party. Mix it up before you even start menu planning or cleaning your house. No baking, no fuss. You’re welcome.

[…] granola, buffalo/bbq, bbq, and salt & vinegar cauliflower wings, rocky road bars, and ranch pretzels. On later days, we made chickpea flour muffins (like egg muffins, but vegan), stuffed mushrooms […]
Sounds good, but I don’t see nutritional yeast in the recipe and you said you had to go to the store to get it before you could make them so I’m a little confused on that
Angella, I used nutritional yeast in my homemade Ranch powder instead of powdered buttermilk that most recipes call for.
Very delicious! I used waffle pretzels and golfing crackers.
are they suppose to get baked?
No need to bake!
Super Yummy! (And Addictive!)
I’ve also made them with oyster crackers (both just as ranch crackers as well as mixed). Works super well if you have those little itty bitty pretzels like they have in snack pouches because then the seasoning gets stuck in the holes and is super good (rich and salty – but so good)
Glad I happened across this recipe because I needed a good snack for my son and I am definitely making the mustard pretzels recipe I love those and they are so hard to find in the stores where I live. 😉 THANX (-:
Glad you enjoyed them! Using oyster crackers sounds TASTY! My old boss used to make this spicy mix with Saltine crackers, but I always wished there were a couple pretzels in there. Best of both worlds!
Garlic powder is listed twice, once as 1 tsp and again as 1/2 tsp. Is one of those supposed to be, maybe, onion powder?
Good eye! Yes, I’ve corrected that. Thanks!
[…] is a pretty important quality for me in a snack. I love making flavored pretzels at home (See Vegan Ranch and Sweet Mustard!) so when a craving struck for something spicy and reallllly garlicky, I knew just […]
These look delicious!
Another fun play on spiced up pretzels!!
how clever!
Love ranch flavored anything! I bet these are addictive!
And now I need to make your mustard pretzels AND your ranch pretzels. You are killing me, Kelly!! 😉
What an easy snack to make!!
Those look like a very tasty snack!
