I have a strong belief that everyone deserves to feel like a chef in their own kitchen. Maybe you don’t have the time, patience, or desire to ever making something ultra-fancy or you’re always a little off on your measurements, but that shouldn’t stop you from getting creative, giving it your all, and eating a delicious meal. There’s a wealth of resources at your fingertips thanks to your friend the internet (hi there!) and all you have to do is carry your laptop into the kitchen.
I started cooking for my family just before YouTube was invented, so while I didn’t have the luxury of watching tutorials then, you better bet I take advantage of them now! And slow speed internet definitely didn’t stop me from searching for new recipes, going to cooking forums, and posting my questions all over the place looking for advice. When I got a laptop a few years later, I carried that bulky beast into the kitchen so I could look up multiple recipes at once without printing out whole trees of paper.
Now? Laptops have come a LONG way and I’m still hauling mine into the kitchen every chance I get. My YOGA 3 Pro from Lenovo is my #2 kitchen helper (Spot #1 goes to my cat Peter!) because not only does it give me access to my BFF the internet, it’s so light and thin. Plus I love all the different modes you can use it in: like a regular laptop, completely folded over like a tablet, propped up like a stand, or partially folded over like a tent. I use it like a tablet when I’m perusing my favorite blogs for recipes, prop it up like a stand or tent when I’m following recipes (I can see it on the island when standing by the stove, which is perfect to avoid splatters while cooking!), and then flip it into laptop mode when I’m ready to blog about my recipes, leave a comment on a friends blog, or do some quick research on an ingredient.
Mine came in Clementine Orange — do you think they planned that? I’ll need to start cooking with clementines! But more than the color, I love the hinge! It was inspired by a watch and the hundreds of little pieces of aluminum and steel allow this baby to fold flat. For more info on the YOGA 3 Pro, you can go here (there’s also info on Lenovo’s other 2-in-1s).
You can also check out the Trend Hub to see how other tastemakers used their YOGA 3 Pro or YOGA 2 Tablet Pro and enter to win more giveaways to increase your chance of winner. And yes! That means I get to giveaway a freaking LAPTOP! It might take the Rafflecopter a minute to load, so be patient and then enter to win your very own YOGA 3 Pro, valued at $1,499.99 <– I don’t know about you, but that’d be the biggest prize I ever won, so don’t miss out (See the official rules and regulations here).
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own. I received a free YOGA 3 Pro for the purposes of review and was compensated for my time.
[…] wrapping up! Don’t forget to enter to win a copy of The Sweet Side of Ancient Grains and a YOGA 3 Pro — a (freaking) laptop from Lenovo! If you’re already following me on Instagram and […]
who’s the lucky winner? π
I’ve sent out an email and forwarded the info to the sponsor so they can verify everything. I’ll update the post once everything is set — I didn’t want to post it early in case they were disqualified for any reason because a new winner will then be drawn.
I enjoyed your review. This lenovo technology is so amazing! Love how we can multitask and take it everywhere we go, great 3rd arm to have to help with everything and more.
I’m so impressed with this machine! I currently run a Lenovo and have for the past 8yrs and I must say they really went all out on this one!
I would love to win this cool prize
Love that your cat is your helper π My puppy is my #1 helper. Also, he needs to learn how to move out the way faster! He’s a ninja and swoops under my feet!
My cat will pout if I don’t pull a chair up for him or pick him up so he can look inside the pans on the stove. The company is always much appreciated!
I LOVE that!! It’s so cute and way more functional than an iPad. Entering the giveaway THIS SECOND.
Yay! Such an awesome giveaway! I hope I win because that looks killer for reading recipes while cooking π
Love that orange color!! This looks like something I need–especially for my budding chef Olivia. Fingers crossed! PS- I’m making your cheesecake bars this weekend!
